Nest Thermostat Installation
The Nest Thermostat is a smart device which allows you to easily keep track of your energy usage and remotely control your central heating system.
The Nest app allows you to schedule when your hot water comes on and even allows you to boost the temperature of your hot water. The Nest thermostat is also compatible with voice activated virtual assistants such as Google Assistant (Google Home) & Amazon Alexa (Amazon Echo).

Nest Installation FAQs
Nest installation should take no more than 90 minutes to complete. Our team can give you a more accurate time estimation in person once they have evaluated the job.
It should be possible to wire a 3rd or 2nd gen Nest Thermostat in place of your old wall mounted thermostat.
If you are planning to use a stand (3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E) it should be placed in a room that is often used.
It should also be placed off of the floor, away from drafts or heat sources and have a clear field of view.
We can replace your old thermostat with a Nest thermostat. You may be able to keep your old thermostat if you wish though. Ask our team in person once they have evaluated the job if this is what you want.
If you have multiple thermostats in your home, they can all be replaced with a Nest Thermostat. This, however, is not mandatory. Your old thermostats should continue to control your heating as normal if you only choose to replace one.
A Nest Thermostat is designed to learn your daily schedule. You can teach it by adjusting the temperature when you leave the home, go to bed and when you come back home.
Over a few days, this will enable the Nest thermostat’s auto-scheduling feature. It will set temperatures depending on your schedule. You can of course adjust this at any time if your schedule changes.
Google Home and Amazon Echo are both compatible with Nest. If you require assistance setting these up, just let us know.

Nest is now owned by Google, however, it still allows compatibility with smart assistant devices such as Amazon Echo. You can use either Google Home or Amazon Echo with your Nest Thermostat.
