Hive Heating Installation
Hive Active Heating is a smart home thermostat which allows you to easily control your central heating system from anywhere.
Through the dedicated Hive app on your smartphone, you can monitor your central heating system and remotely set it to your preferred temperature. Hive is also compatible with voice activated virtual assistants such as Amazon Alexa (Amazon Echo) & Google Assistant (Google Home).

Hive Installation FAQs
It should take no more than 90 minutes to install your Hive Active Heating. Our team can give you a better estimation in person once they have evaluated the job.
Your Hive Hub should be switched on at a power socket and plugged into your broadband router. Ideally it should be located at the centre of your home. Keep it off the floor and try to keep it away from devices which may cause interference.
We can remove your old thermostat when installing your Hive thermostat. If you would like to keep your old thermostat please let us know.
Hive Active Heating has the capability to control multiple heating zones (up to 3 areas). You will require an additional Hive thermostat for each individual heating area.
If you require help with smart assistant configuration such as Amazon Echo or Google Home, let us know. We’ll be happy to help.
By installing a smart thermostat in your home, you’ll be helping to minimise your energy costs. You’ll be able to easily track your energy usage and will be able to control you thermostat remotely.
Hive works with any gas supplier and is compatible with most boilers. You don’t need to be with British Gas to have Hive installed.
Your Hive will communicate with a sensor that is placed on your boiler. Your Hive smart thermostat will aim to never overshoot on a target temperature by learning how your home heats up and switching off your boiler at precisely the right moment.
